Pray.
What if we lived as if prayer was just as important as breathing?
What if we lived as if prayer was the most powerful weapon on earth?
What if we lived as if prayer was our most intimate connection with God?
What if we lived as if prayer changes lives.
For much of my walk with Christ, I always knew the importance of prayer. I knew different methods of praying. I read some books on praying. I also did some praying. Yet, I'm learning now that pray is not only a DOING, but also a LIVING. Jesus told His disciples not to pray as the hypocrites do (Mt 6). After living out prayer, He also taught them how to pray when they asked as well (Lk 11).
With that said, I am participating on a mission trip to an undisclosed location to PRAY.
I feel a bit uneasy saying that our team is going to a people group to just pray. Usually, mission trips are trips where we do something-teaching ministry, children ministry, home-building ministry, or etc. I feel uneasy because I probably haven't depended on prayer as if it really changes lives, relationships, and circumstances. I feel uneasy because I really haven't lived out prayer. I feel uneasy because I've been living out prayer as IF it could changed things.
So, would you consider praying, supporting, and joining me on this journey? A journey to pray. Praying for a people to know His love, grace, mercy. Praying for God to reveal His heart to us. And praying for us to be fully known by God.
