I'll be going on missions this Summer with OMF International to Singapore from June 28-July 26, with pre-trip training in Littleton, CO from June 20-22!
I will be serving missionary families at OMF's missions training conference, specifically helping with the children's (KidsZone) program, where I will be spending time with third-culture kids (TCKs) as they transition culturally, emotionally, and spiritually before being sent onto the mission field with their families. These families will be stepping into their calling as missionaries and being sent globally.
This will also be my first mission trip. I am both nervous and excited, not knowing really what to expect, but I decided to do missions this Summer as a way to spend my time and resources intentionally, to be challenged in my spiritual growth and step into what might feel uncomfortable, and for an opportunity to journey one on one with those I will be serving. Through this, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of what it means to love others in a Christ-like way, and to further discern where and what God may be leading me towards or calling me to consider in the chapter ahead. Regardless of what happens or doesn't happen, I believe that every decision I make, as long as it is made from a place of faith, and not fear, and a place of wanting to experience more of God, then I believe God will work in ways beyond my imagination, and God will find ways to show up for me and remind me of His unwavering character and love.
