2023-24 Year Intern Update

OMF Taiwan Field is hosting seven local seminary students in our ministry teams for the 2023-24 year. 

Three of these are directly funded by this project.  (Approximately USD 12,000 from September 2023 - August 2024). 

Our interns are working in the following locations:

  • Shop Assistants Ministry (Taipei)
  • Shop Assistants Ministry - focussed on ministry to people from Myanmar
  • Puxin, Changhua Church Planting Team (2)
  • Donggang, Pingtung (2)
  • Hope Center (Wanhua, Taipei)

Please pray with us that the interns have a good experience this year, can learn more from our experienced workers about ministry, and are inspired to continue working to reach the Taiwanese working class. 

About This Project

There is a great need to mobilize and equip local leaders to be involved in outreach amongst the unreached working-class segments of the population. This project funds the placement of Taiwanese Seminary Students in internships with our ministries.  By doing so, it provides mentoring for the students and opportunities for them to catch a vision of work with the Taiwanese Working Class.

Seminary interns are ideal people to train and many could potentially take over from OMF missionaries after their graduation resulting in the indigenization of OMF established ministries.

For the 2023-24 School Year, OMF Taiwan Field ministries are hosting seven ministry interns, three of which are funded via this project.
