Ashley Boutte grew up in a Christian family where she had the opportunity to learn daily about God and how much Jesus loved her and the world. From the time she was young, Ashley desired to tell people who did not know Jesus what he had done for them.
When Ashley went into high school, she learned more about God’s grace and began to truly follow Jesus. Over the course of the next few years, Jesus reminded her of how she had desired to share his Gospel with those who had never heard it. During her senior year of high school, Ashley felt that she would do that ministry in Japan.
Ashley earned a B.A. in Christian Studies from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. While there, Ashley had the opportunity to expand her understanding and appreciation for the local church and learn more about missions. She traveled to Japan for two months in the summer of 2018 with OMF and felt confirmed in her calling there.
Ashley is continuing to learn more about the kingdom of God and how to share it with others. She looks forward to returning to Japan as a long term missionary.
