Originally from Wisconsin, I worked as a professional musician, special education teacher, and spent five years working as a missionary in China before I felt God calling me to one of the least-reached people groups: the Japanese. I joined OMF in 2016 and lived in the northern province of Hokkaido for 7 years. During this time, I worked under a local pastor in a rural area and with an OMF church-planting team in an urban center. I also partnered with a national university student ministry, facilitated Bible studies, and developed and taught a prayer walking workshop at local churches throughout Hokkaido and in Tokyo.
For family reasons, I have now returned to the US. I am excited to be part of two wonderful OMF teams. I am half-time with the US mobilization team, where I work as a church missions consultant. We help local churches in the US engage in missions well, via coaching, workshops, and mentoring.
I am also half-time with the New Horizons team, serving as their prayer coordinator. We help missionaries serving with OMF from freshly responsive sending contexts-- including most of Latin America, South America and Africa, and parts of Europe and Asia-- share the hope of Jesus with East Asia's peoples. I connect individual missionaries and their churches with prayer resources for specific people groups and areas of East Asia, in addition to providing resources and training for helping sending churches think and pray more globally.
Please pray for these two teams to help local churches faithfully share the love and truth of Jesus in their contexts. Pray for us to used of God to help bring His kingdom in all its fullness among the unreached, in all the nations, but especially among the peoples of East Asia.
