Derek and Tracy have served in missions since 2011, beginning with US Homeside support roles in mobilization and media communications. In 2019, we transitioned to Japan where less than 1% of the 122 million people follow Christ. We served east of Tokyo with Jesus Christ Family Church. After returning to the US for our home assignment, the Lord closed the door for our to return to Japan.
But God has opened the way for us to serve and add value to the OMF US Teams! Derek is with the Equipping Team as a Ministry Coach. He walks alongside those interested to pursue missions in Japan, exploring their story of faith and the path forward. Tracy is on the TCK Care Team in an administative role. The TCK Care Team exists to care for and equip our missionary families serving in East Asia.
Across our service in missions for the last 15 years we’ve experienced firsthand all that is necessary to send and sustain missionaries cross-culturally. We’re blessed to take part in mission work by coming alongside missionary families on-field and those feeling the Lord draw their hearts to share Jesus with the unreached peoples of East Asia!
