Izumi Church was planted in 2009 in the south of the city of Sapporo, and is the closest church for around 60,000 people. We are devoted to proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ and discipling the believers, and we are actively involved in the community. The church has been slowly growing as people are saved, and Christians move into the area. Consequently, our current (rented) space has become too small. This project is to help the church build their own church building so that we may continue the gospel ministry here and reach more and more people.
By the Lord’s grace and miraculous providence, we have been able to buy a well-positioned piece of land (see picture). Now, we are praying that the Lord would provide us with the funds to erect a church building on the land! A permanent church building in Hiragishi would be a wonderful base for long-term ministry here. Your donation will go towards erecting a suitable church building for Izumi Church.
