Who Are We?
Thank you for stopping by our Partner Hub page! We are Stephen Moorey and Brenda Sansom-Moorey. Even before we were married, we each knew that we had a call from God to serve in missions. We have lived and/or served short-term in Korea, the Philippines, China, and Mongolia. Steve served as a chaplain in hospitals and hospices for 25 years. Brenda was an editor and language coach for international seminary students for 18 years.
Prayer: Our Call to Mission
Since 2018, we have been connected with OMF International. Founded as the China Inland Mission, today its work is spread throughout East and Southeast Asia. We soon discovered that prayer is integral to everything its workers do. Even before our first mission trip, we heard the common refrain “We are praying for you” from various staffers. We were impressed to discover that the speakers were not merely making conversation; they had truly been following through.
In the summer of 2022, we went with OMF on a three-month short-term mission trip to Mongolia. While there, we saw beautiful places and met a spirited and proud people. We also saw disturbing evidence of the spiritual grip of shamanism and Tantric Buddhism on the people today.
Yet we also saw God touch and heal people on all levels in amazing ways as we prayed for them. But we were not praying alone. Many of you in the US were also praying for us and our ministry. So we saw again that no mission work can be truly accomplished without prayer.
Partnering with Resonate
For the past 9 years, we have participated in ministry at Hope International Church, a Christian Reformed Church (CRC), in Arcadia, CA. In October 2023, we were excited to become official CRC partners through Resonate, the missions branch of the CRC. We are grateful for their sponsorship and look forward to supporting missions programs in our local churches.

After returning to the US, we sensed God's leading to stay in the US for a while and work for the US office of OMF International. We are now part of an international team located around the world that provides support for OMF's mission workers.
Steve has been appointed Director of Prayer Mobilization. He leads a team that organizes prayer groups to pray for specific areas or people groups in Asia. The team also produces material to aid supporters in their prayers, and it is active in training volunteers in intercessory prayer.
Brenda is now the Los Angeles Area Regional Manager for Advocacy Mobilization. She has been making connections with churches to present missions programs to college student and young adult groups. She will also provide resources and information to interested attendees at missions conferences, and she seeks to partner with campus ministry groups as well.
The Plan
Because of the generous support of many of you, we reached our financial goal, and OMF officially welcomed us aboard on June 17. We thank all of you who have prayed, encouraged us, and contributed or made pledges! If you have been thinking of making a pledge or contributing a one-time gift, now would be a great time to jump on board! Additional support will enable us to continue our work without taking too much time off after the year is up to redirect our focus to support raising. Meanwhile, thank you for your continued prayers!
