Who Are We?
Thank you for stopping by! We are Stephen Moorey and Brenda Sansom-Moorey. We have lived and/or served short-term in Korea, the Philippines, China, and Mongolia. Steve served as a chaplain in hospitals and hospices for 25 years. Brenda was an editor and language coach for international seminary students for 18 years.
Prayer: Our Call to Mission
Since 2018, we have been connected with OMF International, formerly the China Inland Mission. Prayer has been foundational to our journey together since before our marriage in December of 1989. As we learned more about OMF we soon discovered that prayer is also integral to everything that happens at OMF as well.
In the summer of 2022, we went with OMF on a three-month mission trip to Mongolia. While there, we saw beautiful places and met a spirited and proud people, many of whom, however, are still in the grip of shamanism and Tantric Buddhism. Yet we also saw God touch and heal people in amazing ways as we prayed for them. But we were not praying alone. Many of you in the US were also praying for us and our ministry. So we saw again that no mission work can be truly accomplished without prayer.
Back to North America
Since then we have been working here in the States with OMF's US team. Steve is a Prayer Mobilization Team prayer consultant and the leader for the Skylands Prayer Group, which focuses on countries where Tibetan Buddhism is practiced: Tibet, Mongolia, China, Bhutan, and Nepal. Brenda now works as a consultant with the Church Missions Consulting Team. Her team presents workshops to churches that want to start or develop existing missions programs. Among other things, the team members help the churches discover the strengths they have that can be used in a missions program, explore how they want to be involved, mobilize their congregations to support missions holistically, and train lay leaders to take their people on short-term missions trips.
In addition, Steve and Brenda have created a three-part workshop series that explores the critical role of intercession in missions. We have presented this at multiple churches and look forward to creating more workshops as well. Our goal is to help individuals, groups, and churches to learn how to be more effective supporters for missionaries through prayer.

In October 2023, we were excited to become official partner missionaries with our denomination, the Christian Reformed Church. We are grateful for their sponsorship and look forward to supporting missions programs in our local churches.

We thank all of you who have prayed, encouraged us, and contributed in many ways! As we are in our second year with OMF, we are praying for the Lord's further provision through his body of believers. Renewed support at this time will be a great blessing. As of September 2025 we are projected to be $24,000 under budget by the end of December 2025, so we would be grateful if you, our supporters, feel moved to contribute in that way. - Give financial gifts to help us maintain our budget goal, which is $88,000 for 2025. As of September 2025 we are projected to be $24,000.00 short by the end of December and have been told that at least an additional $14,000 must be raised by December. This can be through gifts or pledges. On the right are options for giving by credit card. or pledging.
- Introduce us to your church mission’s team or pastor and let them know about the presentations we can give.
- Pass the word about our intercession and mission project to others you know who may be interested.
