Dear friends,
🌏 This summer, I’m excited to step into a new chapter of purpose and obedience. From July 2 to July 23, I’ll be serving as a KidZone volunteer in Singapore with OMF International. I’ll be caring for Third Culture Kids (TCKs)—children of missionaries—while their parents undergo intensive orientation for their new ministry assignments across Asia.
This trip isn’t just about travel ✈️. It’s about following a call, serving the nations, and living out God’s heart for every tribe and tongue ❤️🌍.
🙋♀️ Why Missions?
I was deeply inspired by my mom’s mission trip to East Asia last year, where she brought hope through education. Watching her walk faithfully encouraged me to ask: Why not me too?
As I transition from full-time work to graduate school, I felt led not to “fill time,” but to redeem it—to make these months count in the Kingdom. Through prayer and discernment, I realized that missions would allow me to both serve and learn, all while stepping into God’s greater story.
So why Singapore and TCKs?
Third Culture Kids (TCKs) are children who grow up in cultures different from their parents’ passport countries. In Singapore, they face unique transitions—new friends, a new language, and new expectations . These children need more than childcare; They need encouragement, understanding, and love 💛.
My own journey as an international student since 2017 taught me how challenging cultural shifts can be 🌐. But through those struggles, I discovered how God bridges hearts across borders. I believe He’s now calling me to be that bridge for others.
I feel especially drawn to serve TCKs because I understand what it means to live between worlds. My prayer is to be amentor, a listener, and a reminder of God’s steadfast presence in seasons of transition 🙏.
