Hello friend!
Thank you so much for checking out my missions support page! I am currently in Japan doing ministry at a local church, the Hirosaki Nozomi Church (弘前 のぞみ キリスト教会) to be exact. This church was planted in 2016 in the town of Hirosaki located in the Aromori Prefecture. During my time serving at this church, I will be involved in many ministires such as English education, musical instrument instruction, building maintenance, and agricultural work. I also will be leading Bible studies, and luckily I have a translator to help me as I am doing that! I also have been in Japanese classes trying to learn the language as well...which has been very difficult, but the instructors are really nice and many individuals I work with have been helping me as well! As I start my third week, I am excited to learn more specific details about all the ministries the church has, and I am excited for all the ways God will grow me and use me during this time.
About Support- I will appreciate any financial support you feel led to give, however, there is another type of giving I would appreicate abundantly more than financial support. I would love to know that you are praying for me. Your prayers and kind words will be the greatest support you could offer me. When Paul writes his letters to various churches and individuals, he is abundantly thankful for the prayers that he knows he is receiving. They touch his heart and keep him going. Your prayers will do the same for me and the prayers I know I have received have helped me on really hard days. When Paul writes in his letters how he longs to visit churches, I understand that now more than ever as I long to be with all of you who are so far from me. Knowing you are praying for me will help ease this burden as I struggle to do ministry for the next few months. Also, if you would like a more detailed account of what I am currently doing, make sure to send me a message letting me know you would like to be added to my newsletter!
Thank you so much again for the love and support you have given me, and I pray that when I return I will be able to tell everyone I know about the wonderful work being done in Japan!
Warmest Regards,
Malachi B.
