To quote Psalm 145.4: "One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts".
My purpose in going Japan is multifacaded; however, if I had to narrow down to one core reason, it's to declare God's mighty acts to the next generation. Specifically, I want to declare God's mightiest act where God made Him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness (peace) of God. (2 Cor 5:21). This declaration of God's glory all starts with one generation, just one.
Therefore, I will be going to Japan where I have the privilage to commend and declare the gospel of Jesus Christ in the beautiful region of Tohoku where the only exposure children have is through altar shelfs from their parents or a local shrine every new year. I have the opportunity to change that through serving specifically in the:
-local church's sunday school and youth group
-teaching english at the church's weekly classes and a weekly preschool.
-Helping the local church in any way I can via cleaning, setting up, etc.
To make this opportunity happen, I need to raise $10,000 to cover all my expenses.
