God has placed me with OMF International US as a Serve Asia Program Coordinator through a series of events that only He could have orchestrated! This position calls for coordinating with the long-term missionaries and short-term teams and individuals. It also involves the preparation and execution of plans (dates, ministry, budget, travel, training, debriefing) in order to facilitate an effective, challenging short-term experience. It will necessitate working with the log-term missionaries to discover their strategic needs to be able to plan creative short-term Serve Asia opportunities which will meet those needs. Responsibilities include team placement, recruiting and coaching team leaders, screening applicants, facilitating effective, thorough communication between team leaders and field workers as well as assisting in the training, debriefing and follow-up of Serve Asia workers.
