Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying yet another beautiful spring season! I would like to share with you what God has been teaching me, how He has been shaping me in this season of my life and His plans for my near future. I am wrapping up my second year of studies at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Go Cru!) where I am in the Christian Studies program. Since I was young, God placed a desire on my heart for serving Him oversees and while in my senior year of High School, I felt called to minister in Japan. This summer, I have been given the opportunity to do just that with OMF International!
OMF International was founded as the China Inland Mission in 1865 by pioneer missionary to China, Hudson Taylor. I have been accepted to participate in the OMF Serve Japan summer missions project. This is a nine-week trip in which I will be joining a team of three other university students to reach out to the people of Hirosaki, Japan by working with missionaries who have started a church called Nozomi Church Hirosaki. There we will be assisting with programs for the youth (elementary to university age).
I would like to ask you to partner with me through your prayers. Please pray:
• That the growing Church in Japan will thrive and multiply.
• That I will grow closer to God through this trip.
• For God to give me his Heart for the people of Japan.
• That I will have good relationships with my teammates and team leaders.
• For God to provide all that I need through this process (spiritually, physically, emotionally, and financially).
