This county in rural East Asia has one of the highest levels of HIV infected people in the area. There is an open welcome for the expertise and care our medical workers bring. This project aims to improve the adherence of patients to HIV treatment by counseling and health education.
Your gift would be used to provide counseling and heatlh education for HIV patients, HIV education to the local community, and to provide the salaries for 5 nurses. It would also allow us to train peer counselors from the community.
The work in this area is not limited to this HIV project. Work in educational projects, agriculture, and community development are a multi-prong approach to serving the people in this part of Asia.
