Matthew Navarro Ministry Update August 2022

Navarro Ministry Report
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Over these last 3 months, God has richly blessed me with a busy summer where I attended missions conferences and saw God gift me with new relationships and friendships.
In June, Hawa and I had the opportunity to travel to Green Lake, Wisconsin to be apart of Cadence Internationals staff conference. We led 16 military kids (ages 11-14) for the week, were we ministered to them through fun games/activities, as well as through Gods word and conversation around the theme of being “Unhindered” christians for Gods Kingdom. What a joy it was to share the importance of living for christ, knowing that because of his sons sacrifice, nothing is holding us back from his presence and calling in our lives.
In early July, I also got a chance to observe and take part with my team serving OMF TCK kids at HART ( Home Assignment Reunion Training) conference in Colorado Springs. This week spiritually filled me. I was thirsty for more connection to OMF missionaries and more chances to serve along side my team. God greatly answered my prayers through this conference. Whether it was the chance to stay up till midnight hearing stories of God working greatly overseas in East Asia, being pelted with water balloons by the kids, or getting to sit and listen to a family processing session, God reaffirmed in me that his calling upon my life was clear, and he wants me with OMF serving his children.
Finally at the end of July, both Hawa and I joined my family in Cancun, Mexico for NOVO’s worldwide conference. Most of our time was spent this week as a personal vacation, sitting on the beach, enjoying the sun and overeating. However, we also got a chance to hear how God is using NOVO missionaries to carry the Gospel to all parts of the world. We also had the opportunity to dive into reflection on God being “Worthy” of our praise. All tribes, nations, people and tongues will praise the most high King and he will be worthy of it all (Revelation 7:9). What a great experience to sit in his greatness and pour out praise to the one who is in control of it all and deserves the most high praise.
“Who saves us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works, but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began”.
-2 Timothy 1:9
I have been holding this verse very close to my heart. In all honesty, this calling that God has placed upon my life to serve with OMF is surreal at times. Often I ponder why God chose me now in this specific moment, at such a young age, to pursue full time ministry. Reflecting upon this verse, he shows me that the timing, place and how he calls me is not up to me. Proclaiming him as my lord and savior opened my eyes to a God that had a “Holy calling upon my life” and nothing I do can change that calling. In Gods vast greatness, he set in stone this season of raising support and full time ministry. Please pray for understanding and patience for me, as I lean in to what God has called me too.
Currently, I am getting close to being 50% funded/pledged of my monthly goal of $3000. Please pray for more opportunities to share and more ministry partners. And if you are feeling called to support this ministry, please fallow the link below to my partner hub.
Blessings,
