The Martin family are Iowa natives with hearts for Cambodia. Nathan and Brianna attended Gordon-Conwell theological seminary near Boston, and it was praying through the world that first brought them to Cambodia. They moved to Lynn, MA, where they first met Cambodians. After a few years of pastoring back in Iowa, the Martins joined OMF's work in Cambodia in 2009. Nathan & Brianna were involved for most of that time seeking to bless rural Cambodia through a rural library and education project and sharing the good news of God's love for us in Jesus Christ in Snuol, Cambodia. By God's grace, towards the end of their time in Snuol, the Martins were able to see the start of three house churches.
Beginning the summer of 2020 Nathan accepted a role as a Regional Mobilization Manager for OMF and the Field Link between the Cambodia Field and US Team. Nathan's mobilization work includes coaching new missionaries headed to Cambodia, conversations on missionary life, reaching out to churches and colleges to explore ways to be involved in missions, coordinating short term missions trips, and praying with the church for the world.
Brianna transitioned to member care for missionaries in 2022. Her role includes providing debriefing, asking coaching questions for future decisions, encouraging struggling workers, pointing people to helpful resources, helping with spiritual retreats for missionaries, and at times helping workers transition off the field in a healthy way. We appreciate your prayers in this new journey!
