I am never going to stop believing in Jesus
“It has been so hard to be a follower of Jesus. I feel like I have no more tears to cry. The other Tai Dam are so mean to us. When I am sweating while working under the hot sun in the fields, they walk by and say, ‘Why don’t you tell your God to do that for you if he is so powerful?’ Then they walk away laughing…But now I am strong in faith and don’t care what they say anymore. I am never going to stop believing in Jesus.”
Most Tai Dam people do not know the Lord Jesus. It is a rare gift for them to have the opportunity to gather together with other Tai Dam who worship Jesus and have the shared experience of struggling to be faithful to the Lord in a setting where that is looked down upon. This project helps make it possible for Tai Dam Christians from three different countries to meet together once a year for a time of worship & prayer, teaching & mutual encouragement and further equipping for how to continue to share the Good News of Jesus in their Tai Dam contexts.
This year over 75 Tai Dam met together for three days. Many of them can identify with the words above that were spoken by a Tai Dam believer. They have suffered loss for their faith but they have found a treasure that far surpasses the loss. Please pray for these believers to return to their homes and villages with a renewed boldness and with the Holy Spirit empowering them to love their neighbors and bless those who persecute them.
