Training and Development Consultation
Greeting everyone, from Singapore,
This week, Jan and I are taking part in a consultation here for those who train and develop our staff all over the world. It’s called the Training and Development (T&D) Consultation, and our attendees work with our members and staff in all of our Asian fields, and hail from all over the world.
Getting here was half the fun! Jan originally tried to leave on Weds. afternoon last week (she was on a different flight itinerary from me because of flying standby) but failed on her first attempt. After staying up late that night to study up on various potential alternative flight paths, she was at the airport early the next morning to fly to Chicago and board a flight for Tokyo from there, and then on to Singapore. It worked! Mission accomplished (so far).
The consultation begins today (Monday). Please pray for a good week with T&D center leaders and course facilitators who are here from around OMF’s world. In particular, I would appreciate prayer for the leaders of the gathering. There has been lots going on in these recent weeks, and the facilitators have not had an easy time getting ready for our week together.
As we departed for Singapore a few days ago, Jan was recovering from a kidney infection she has been fighting for about two weeks (she almost did not come on the trip), and is doing fairly well. Pray for full recovery. Her antibiotic prescription is finished, but she has had to get a new round of medication from doctors here. Fortunately, now that she is here, she can rest as needed.
Thanks for your prayers!
Barry (and Jan)
