Hello
Growing up in America with access to the Gospel is a gift I do not take for granted. Many people worldwide do not have access to the gospel and may have had the same experiences as me: hopeless and lost. It breaks my heart to think of the unreached people groups in the world. I have wanted to serve the nations of the Lord since I became a Christian.
Last year, I visited a friend in Bangkok, Thailand, who serves as a missionary. She showed me her life, her people, and her ministry. I fell in love. What sealed my heart for East Asia was the day she took me to a shrine of a local idol. I watched people come to bring offerings to a false god. I saw a woman lay down and pray to every altar she could cling to. She looked at me and said, "This is the closest thing to heaven these people have." I know heaven; heaven lives in me. I can share heaven with these people if I am given the opportunity.
Since my trip, I have been in constant obedience to say “yes” to the call on my life. I have been in contact with an organization called OMF (Overseas Missions Fellowship). I now have a short-term opportunity to serve in Thailand beginning September 1st. I will be working with children of missionaries from all over Southeast Asia, providing them with support and care. I hope that God will show me my next steps in missions during this time.
Please pray for:
- Pray that my faith will grow in Jesus.
- Pray for the missionary families I will be serving.
- Pray for the people groups of Southeast Asia.
- Pray for financial needs to be met.
The financial cost of this program is $6,000, which is a big undertaking, but my God is bigger. If the Lord guides you to give financially, you can visit my support page at https://partnerhub.omf.org/ServeMF1. You will be given a tax-deductible receipt from OMF, and donations are non-refundable.
Thank you so much for your encouragement in my life. I will keep you updated on my trip! I would love to connect with you and pray for you as well.
Your faithful servant and sister in Christ,
Mollie Faust
