What if I was the first Christian that someone met? This thought
popped into my head as I was traveling around Kaula Lumpur,
Malaysia. It brought many things into perspective. So many people
in the world have limited access to the gospel due to political and
spiritual barriers. Some of these people may not even know what a
Christian is. It convicts me. Everything about me must be
different. My whole being must be a witness. What I think, how I
act all my mannerisms must point back to Jesus. This is true in any
culture and context. When people come in contact with me,
everything I do from sitting in a taxi grab to teaching bible
stories to children. In all things, Christ should be exalted in my
life. In order for this to happen, I have to surrender each moment.
Sitting in that taxi could be the most eternally important thing I
do today. The most sober reality is that I can't do it on my own. I
need to be unified with Christ and be open to each divine
appointment- even sitting if it is the way I sit and interact with
the taxi driver. Ministry Updates The last two weekends we hosted
two days of crafting for the children in our organization. We
focused on making items out of recycled material to teach how
Christ can make us new. We taught Bible stories that reflected that
message. I prepared a lesson and taught about how God made Saul
into Paul. Nothing fills my heart more than seeing young children’s
attention captivated by the word of God. We were able to provide
opportunities for creativity, fun, and laughter. One of the moms
told me that she was so thankful that her youngest son (4yrs) was
able to be included and have something to do just for him. As the
youngest child, I know how this feels. I was overjoyed that this
was something we were able to provide the children of our mission
community. This coming week we will serve at a retreat for a
homeschool co-op. We are excited to watch middle and high schoolers
lead each other during this time. Please pray for us as we prepare
and that we will maintain energy. Pray for opportunities to
witness, guide, encourage, and counsel each student. Prayer
