Mobilization for SE Asia
Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our
sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and
took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he
disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed
them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.
Colossians 2:13b–15 (NLT)
Mobilization Role
Praise the Lord we have a new member in our Mobilization and
Communication Group that I lead. This single man Lee served
for over a decade with our field and has been appointed as our
field's Asia Mobilizer. He connects with many of our East Asian
offices who send missionaries to the field. Lee will be
leading a team of mobilizers to visit three locations where our
field works so they can better understand how to mobilize for our
unique field in SE Asia. He has been struggling with an infection
for several months. He is recovering, but still suffers from lack
of stamina. Please pray for full
recovery. Lee and our field Director are currently
at our international Mobilization
Consultation. Please pray for them as they connect
with mobilizers from 20 different sending offices
around the world that have converged on a town in Thailand for
four days. The goal is to reduce barriers in mobilizing the
right people for our 17 fields in East Asia and Southeast Asia.
We are thankful for
-
Our missions pastor and the coordinator of outreach to internationals visiting the refugee work in Dallas.
-
The opportunity to visit Southeast Asia for four weeks this summer. We will be attending our field conference and K will be attending training. Finally, we will visit the city in SE Asia for a couple days, where we lived for 5 years before moving to Texas.
-
The Lord of the harvest to provide witnesses to share Him with Southeast Asians (Matthew 9:38)
May the seeds planted in our refugee friends grow like their veggies under the exterior staircase!
