Timing
Timing is important. I learned that lesson back in Asia (2003). S and I were on a special date. I purchased tickets for a traditional Chinese boat ride that served dinner. As the boat was heading back to shore, I decided the time was right to “pop the question”, presenting S with a ring and proposal. However, for S, the timing may not have been the best since she was still busy shelling prawns with saucy fingers. As you may imagine, I wasn’t able to get an answer at that moment, but thankfully she later accepted and we began a life together :-)
God’s timing is always perfect.
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons (Galatians 4:4, ESV)
