Singing Spiritual Songs
"Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts" (Col. 3:16 - NIV). Some are curious, "Why sing praise and worship songs with a group of folks who are seekers, most of whom have not yet committed their lives to follow Jesus?" We do this for several reasons. One, many internationals have told us that they really enjoy singing these types of songs, and that they sense powerful spiritual feelings when they take part. Second, not only does it help with learning and memorizing new English vocabulary, but it also helps communicate the message of the Good News in an easy to remember format.
