Host Families and Ski Retreat Weekend

We recently took a group of Asian students and scholars up to northern Wisconsin, where a wonderfully hospitable group of host families from Salem Church of Ashland welcomed internationals into their homes. Statistically, about 80% of international students NEVER ONCE enter an American home; but for this group of internationals, that all changed on our ski retreat weekend!

Highlights of the trip include: having Christian host families take internationals to church for the first time ever for about seven of our students, watching warm and friendly interactions between host families, their children, and our students and scholars, and great spiritual conversations in the car during our long drive.
