A Walk in Masks
When should we wear masks, and when do we not need to? How do we relate with people socially in this era of the pandemic? Is anyone struggling with boundaries in this whole COVID-19 situation? Our principle now is this: we wear masks not out of fear for ourselves, but out of love for others. Research suggests that masks are not foolproof or super effective for the person wearing them, since the virus can easily sneak through cracks between the mask and our face (does anyone's fit perfectly?!), and can even enter our eyes. So when we wear masks, it's not as much about protecting ourselves as it is about not being a stumbling block or cause to fear for others.
