Tubing at a Local Creek
What do you do for fellowship and to build relationships with internationals in the midst of COVID when everyone is tired of being cooped up in the house, the weather is hot, and people are getting bored of taking socially-distanced walks at parks with masks on their faces?! We decided to go tubing at a local park which has a creek flowing through it! It turned out to be a pretty perfect way to be able to get outside, but still have plenty of room for everyone to spread out.
HIghlights: seeing the kids and teens laughing and having a good time (sometimes during coronavirus that isn't a common occurrence); watching adults from several different countries try tubing for the very first time; hearing a Middle Eastern friend joke with an Asian friend about a shark in the creek letting him pass by safely because he wanted Asian food (LOL); and watching Kristen pass out individually-wrapped ice cream sandwiches and sundaes to even the adults - who were almost as excited as the kids!
